Get Your Site Reviewed

Filed under: Blogging, Income Steams, Writing — Jan @ 8:32 pm

Getting a site or blog noticed is a never ending struggle for beginning internet entrepreneurs. When the time comes and you are ready to get a serious and professional review, you can get reviewed at ReviewMe! or exchange review with other bloggers.

The costs of the paid reviews range from $30 to $500+ depending on what blog it will appear on. You pick the keyword and it will pull up all the related blogs that will post a review and how much it will cost. You can then check out the blogs and decide from there.

Bob Schmuck’s site just recently got accepted to do reviews. When he told me about it, I decided to apply to do reviews! I don’t think I have enough traffic here, so I applied to do reviews on Jan’s Group Home Support. It’s another opportunity for another stream of income. Bob says the reviews can be positive or negative. That means they can be honest reviews! I like that.

Another way to get reviewed is to get a group of 3 or more bloggers and each post one review to create one way links. Blog A reviews Blog B, Blog B reviews blog C, Blog C reviews Blog A. It can be a done as an exchange if the budget doesn’t allow for paid reviews. There should be deadlines for when the review should be posted and an agreed length of review (the minimum should be about 250 words).

Well, even if you don’t need a review, if you write and can integrate reviews into your blog, you can still apply to do reviews. Keep site reviews in mind when you are at a point a few reviews would do your site some good like around a launch, during a slow time, or for a special promotion.

Jan’s Group Home Support

A little history on Jan’s Group Home Support and what I am doing that made it my most successful project (still little, but growing!)

  • I chose an area I have experience in and that my heart is in-I have worked in the field for nearly 10 years, there’s more on my experience and background here.My heart is in the posts and the blog.
  • I searched for disability blogs-once I found the blogs I reviewed helpful ones and posted in them. I do about 5 postings a week right now.
  • I outsourced blog directory submitting-my oldest daughter (12 years old) does this for Bob and I to earn money to pay her cell phone bill.
  • I post regularly and in advance-I have a new post up at least every other day. I have 1 month of scheduled posts (using the post edit on WP) in case anything come up, like when I had family visiting from CO
  • I distributed fliers-I designed a flier about the blog that included current and future post titles. I distributed it to my place of employment and through mailings to other community living service providers in town.
  • Next I will email a link in a personalized email to the contact email on the sites of the service providers.

On the flier I included a small ad for my photography services stating I will do portraits on location and on have experience with special needs. No results from the add, yet.
