Mother’s Day

I started writing today for a paid post for a beauty themed blog, and I was inspired to write this for my blog even though it seemed off topic at the time.

A Mother’s Beauty is the Most Memorable

Mothers have the most beautiful eyes when they see how hard their child tries to accomplish a task, sees through the acne of their teenager, and looks into their baby’s eyes.

Mothers have the most beautiful lips when they speak words of encouragement, talk of lessons learned, and brag about their children.

Mothers have the most beautiful skin when resting against the face of a child, reflecting the sunlight, and glistening from sweat after racing her children.

Mothers have the most beautiful hands when handing a cookie to a toddler, holding the hand of a child in a doctor’s office, and opening a handmade card.

Mothers have the most beautiful hair when it is pulled back to help fix a bike, when it soaks up the tears of a crying child, and blows in the wind while playing outdoors with her children.

No one forgets a mother’s beauty because it comes from within.

This isn’t as off topic as I thought, it relates to being an internet entrepreneur because sometimes netpreneurs focus on the outer appearance of a project and neglect the content. What will make a site or blog memorable is the balance of both.

On Mother’s Day and every day, I am so happy to be a mom! My Mother’s Day started on Thursday when Bob and his wife came by because they couldn’t make it for the dinner (which was very delicious) my daughters planned for me yesterday. Mother’s Day will continue to be celebrated today. I’m looking forward to it.
There has been trying and challenging times with many sacrifices over the past 25 years I’ve been a mom. As I look back, it was all very much worth it as I see what great children (and the wonderful grandchild) that I have. I’m not even the only one that sees how great they are! Anyone that knows my kids or has employed my kids, have the same opinion of them that I do. That is especially rewarding for me when other people see how outstanding they are as people……their integrity, their work ethics, their good hearts, their dependability, their helpfulness, and their strong commitment to the things that are important to them.

My mom passed away in 1993 and the pain of the loss doesn’t go away, I’ve just gotten more skilled with living with it. I was so glad I went to see her (she lived 100 miles away) that last Mother’s Day I had with her. I was very tired that night when I got off work, but went anyways. I had no ideas it would be my last Mother’s Day with her. I still carry with me the valuable lesson of realizing how short life is and how quickly it can change.

I’ll end this post with some advice my mom gave me when I was struggling with a decision:

If you don’t have to make a decision right now……don’t! By the time you HAVE to make a decision, you’ll have all the information you need to make it.

She was right, and when the time came and I had to make a decision…..there was more information and it wasn’t such a struggle.

A baby site should not only have articles on unique baby names but have outgoing links to other related sites as well. These include sites of companies supplying crib mattress, cribs, cradles etc. Contact details of baby sitter providers should also be listed. There should be baby booties ideas.
