Moving Forward

Well, shortly after this post re: the possibility that I hold myself back and I considered changing fields, as I was looking for a second job, things started moving forward. I didn’t get hired for the job that I applied for, but it opened my mind that maybe it’s time to change direction. I learned to recognize the hints of anxiety regarding change. Instead of it stopping me, now that I recognize it for what it is………I go over it, push it out of the way, break through it, or do whatever else it may take to move past it.

A few more doors shut for me in my search for added income, but I set my mind that there IS an answer for me, so I kept moving. I asked around about what other people are doing for second jobs. One person said she has one that is fairly easy with no stress and great benefits. They even give regular raises, the first one is 40 cents after 90 days! (I’ve been eligible for a raise for 2 years and have not gotten one due to a freeze on raises). I was already open to change, so I applied.  In the mean time I kept looking for another job. Today I have an appointment to apply for a job to assist disabled people in their own homes.

I think there might be a little something to “the secret” and that we control what we attract in our lives. I also believe it needs to be balanced. As I’ve written before, I believe some things just happen and we shouldn’t use a bunch of time and energy trying to make it happen and then believing that we had control of what happened. Example-today is Friday. I could meditate, proclaim, believe, pray, speak, etc. that today is Tuesday. I can do this for the next several days. No matter how much time I invest or how strong my faith is, it will not be Tuesday till next week on Tuesday! If I do nothing, in few days, it will be Tuesday. My time, faith, prayers,  and efforts are best used on things I do have control over.

Let yourself succeed! Figure out how you may have misused time, energy, and effort. Rearrange and move forward. Push past any fear and anxiety about change.
