JAN’S IDEAS

Well this has been up for awhile, but I hadn’t taken the time to read it. I didn’t check out all the resources, but looks like an amazing collection. So if you need anything to do with blogging, check out this post at BloggerWanted.com.

There hasn’t been any articles up lately, but I have written for them before. I’ve had nothing but good experiences writing for them.

Here I am with only about 10 minutes of writing to finish a job that I have been slow to finish. After that I edit the five articles and I’m done.  So why, oh Why is it so hard to do? So instead this is what I have done:

• I’ve written a little (very little) for myself hoping to be motivated when I”m done.
• I’ve checked my unchanging stats a few two many times. I have checked my e-mail (it’s too late for new email except from sleepless spamming bots).
• I have played with my dog.
• I grabbed my first beer in over a week.
• I am considering going to be d now (my alarm goes off in 6 hours).
• I started this whining post.

So maybe the heat, it was 104 degrees today, burned away some of my energy and motivation. Maybe its the extra hours at wage earning. It could be time for me to take a break from writing for pay.

To be honest, I just don’t know. Doctors sometimes don’t know the cause of an illness, so they just treat symtptoms till they come up with a diagnosis. Well, I have the symptoms of burnout, so tonight I’ll take a break from doing anything for pay. I will get up fresh in the morning and finish the job.

I have been neglecting my projects, telling myself I cannot work on them until I finish the paid jobs. The results….both are neglected!

Sorry no answers here. Maybe you can find comfort in the fact you do not feel like I do, or if you feel like I do, you will know you are not alone!

I just love AGLOCO. I put my bar in last week and the calculations have begun! There is even a handy calculator on the site (There have been a few problems loading the site. I guess they are busier than expected!) to estimate the amount of earnings in a month. I have full control if the view bar is turned on or not. The down side of that is a couple times I forgot to turn it on, but am now in the habit of checking to make sure I have it on.

How members make money:

• Agloco revenue is passed on to members-based on the use of the Agloco view bar a percentage of revenue is passed on to members
• Members earn part of the company-based on the use of the view bar (currently there is a 5 hour maximum that is rewarded)
• Rewards for referrals-including a percentage earned from their use of the Agloco view bar
• A share of commissions-from member purchases of products and services

Agloco makes money for its members the following ways:

• Searching-use the Agloco search bar and money is earned
• Advertising-targeted ads will appear and money is earned for clicking and then purchasing (referral fees)
• Transaction commissions-money paid for referrals
• Software distribution-new downloads and trial versions of new programs
• Service distribution-new and active user source
• Product distribution-referral fees

I may be just a beginner getting started on the internet and just have my one referral, but there are guys out there like John Chow who are building their income with a large referral base. (He has 1000+ referrals!) We all have to start somewhere.
