Mostly nothing new on Wal-Mart. They are waiting for my background check to come back. I have a fingerprint clearance card, so that will be no problem!
I did have to commit to some hours at my current job because we have a new resident moving into the group home and a new schedule is being created. I took a chance, put aside my fears and called Wal-Mart to ask if it wasn’t too late, I’d like to change my availability. I requested two days off during the week, and then instead of being available 2 weeks after they got my background check back, I could be available after the first. I didn’t think it would hurt to ask, but I didn’t expect an OK, either. Well, I was wrong……..they said OK.
I was able to help my supervisor re-arrange the schedule (I use to be a supervisor) to fit in with my schedule w/Wal-Mart. I appreciate them working around a new job, so helping her was my way of showing appreciation. It’s probably doing extra things like that, which makes me a valued employee.
