Working Hard

Filed under: Income Steams, Personal — Jan @ 10:44 pm

From someone who has worked hard, long, and excessive hours, I like working with a plan.

I have always been unstructured and trusted things to work out.  Now I’m off the treadmill and running on a trail, a trail that will lead me to one wage earning job. The reason one wage earning job is important is because two wage earning jobs aren’t getting the bills paid and it uses up time I could develop my internet ventures.

I have a rough week this week. My training schedule at Wal-Mart has me working days and on my days that I work at Blake. So I start working at 5:30 am, work all three jobs with about a 1/2 hour off in-between jobs to get from one job to another and stop working at about 10 pm. For another week I will work my current second job at 5:30 am for one hour. It’s not hard or a long shift, it’s just that getting up at 4:30 am kicks my butt!

What is different this time is that I’m tired and burnt out, but not stressed. There is a plan to reduce hours and jobs. I feel confident I can make it happen.

So, if you are going to work hard, make sure it is getting you somewhere!

Tomorrow I will find out if my raise at my other job went through and for how much. The last raise I got was over a year ago to bring me up to the new starting wage. So after 7 years with the company and great evaluations, I make the same as someone with no experience! As much as I love the company, the people working there, the job, and the residents……it’s obvious it’s time for a change. It should’ve happened a long time ago.
