Free Computer Protection

Filed under: Free Stuff, Miscellaneous — Jan @ 11:03 am

When I got a new computer a few months ago, I didn’t add any protection. I barely had time to get my programs reloaded for things like my camera. Well, I paid later for not taking the time because I ended up with some annoying stuff on my computer.

Here are two links for free, effective, and quick protection from ads and viruses. Of course there are paid upgrades available from both. This fixed my problems right away and gave me time to look into other options for computer protection.

Ad-Aware for ads (it got rid of excessive and annoying pop-ups) and AVG for virus protection.

YES…..I still do exist!

Computer problems, extra hours at 2 jobs, and Christmas preparations are behind me now. I’m going to get back to focusing on my internet ventures. So to catch up a little……

The holidays were great. Thanksgiving I was with all the kids and their families at the boy’s dad’s house (we’ve always got along since separating 19 years ago).  Thanksgiving night the girls and I spent at Bob’s and his wife’s house. We helped decorate the tree and Bob and I worked on some internet stuff. In the morning we got up and went to my oldest son’s house. I loved seeing my grand daughter twice in two days. The girls and I went 4-wheeling and shooting with him. I then headed back to town. I got in town less than an hour before I had to be at Wal-Mart. I made it to work in time and by the time I got there most of the craziness was over.

I went to Wal-Mart to have a chance for raises and advancement. At my first eval I got a raise and the goal set is for me to learn the department  head duties. Not much chance to learn anything new with the holidays, but should get to start after the first and everything slows down. I just love the job. I really like that I’m more physically active. I went down one size and bought a size 4 pair of pants at Wal-Mart.  I’m not sure it’s an accurate size 4, but even a size 6 is pretty exciting stuff for this 47 year old grandma with 5 kids!

It took me over a year to get that first check from AdSense, I got my check in October and already I’m about 1/3 the way to the next one and that’s with neglecting my sites lately!

Well, I need to get a few things done before I go to work today. So, for now….bye.
