Today I had the day off and the only thing I have to do is get my daughter back and forth from VBS (vacation bible school) tonight!
The personal issue that has been painful, exhausting, and consuming is still active. I am in a maintenance mode now since it will be ongoing. I am adjusting, learning, and healing. The situation isn’t as time consuming as it was when it began at the end of March, so I am finally feeling relief from a busy schedule. I had looked forward to this happening in March when I went from 2 full-time jobs to 1 full time and 1 part-time (with flexible hours). It finally happening now….better late than never!
Last week my youngest turned 11 so there was a birthday party and three different sleepovers since some of the girls couldn’t make the “official” birthday sleepover. Since I was working every night and when I did have a night off, it was during the week, there weren’t opportunities for her to have sleepovers. We will be making the most of summer schedules!
Today I have been enjoying simple things that I rarely have time to do normally. Since last week with my daughter’s birthday her and I had a lot of time together, today was my day! Today was actually pretty productive in the following area:

- Household
- Relaxing
I am sitting here listening to Bob Seger-Greatest Hits. I had lost the CD and found it today cleaning :).
Internet
On the internet I learned how to make a page on a website! Simple stuff to many, but for me…….exciting stuff! Bob Schmuck called me before work and we had one of our phone conferences. My son only lives about an hour from me, but with our schedules, it’s still hard to get together. He helped me with a few things on my redesign of Jan’s Group Home Support Blog. I guess I’m finally learning some stuff because he was even surprised about a couple things I did on my own to customize the theme! 
I checked my Adsense and since two of my blogs are on page one of Google’s search, I have tripled my previous page impressions. Income wise, I am off to a good start even with summer slow down happening.
Last week I figured out how to change and image, so I picked one out for this blog. I have a new them picked out, but will customize the one for Jan’s Group Home Support first. I can at least get one of my own photos up on my own blog though!
Household
I have cleaned in my office area. It’s like Christmas! I found lots of things I forgot I had and notebooks full of ideas and plans (like I need more lol!). Not only did I find stuff, I have room to walk to my computer! My dog is happy, too. She is convinced she must be within 6 inches of me at all times when I am home. She can easily sleep close to me while I’m on the computer now.
Got a few thing done in the yard today. Mostly I have a redneck yard, but I have my “Colorado Corner” with wildflowers and pine trees.
My second frig in the back room seemed like it wasn’t keeping the ice cream cold enough so I upped the temp. The other night it scared me as I heard strange sounds. Well, it got too cold and a few cans of root beer exploded! It made a very bad mess. Today, my son who lives here helped me clean it up.
Relaxing
I sat in front of the TV and ate ice cream! I didn’t even care what I watched…..I didn’t look at the clock……I just “surfed”. It was amazingly relaxing. I also stayed in my PJ’s a good part of the day. I just loved not having to go anywhere or be anywhere for a change! I found Dark Angel on the Sci-Fi channel and watched an episode I hadn’t seen. Bob and I use to watch it when it was a series.
Well, I need to get moving and take my daughter to church.
