The Bucket List

When I finished watching “The Bucket List”. It made me wonder what I would have on my bucket list. It made me think that I would love to have my kids write a bucket list and see how it changes as they grow.

I know that a bucket list should be specific. This is a little general, but it will serve its purpose. I am still pretty young-48 years old, and I have spent most of my life working hard to earn money and raise kids (and still am doing both). There is a lot I want to do.

FAMILY

  • See my kids and their families do some of the things on their bucket lists
  • Document and organize photos, events, and family history to pass on to future generations.
  • Have “a memory of a life time” with as many family members and friends as possible
  • Begin family reunions
  • Have 5 family vacations

GOD

  • Share God in a way that makes Him “real”
  • Make the most of opportunities to share how God makes a difference in my life
  • Write something memorable about my life and my faith that will inspire others and make a difference

WORK

  • Advance at a paid job to the point I can have one job
  • Create passive income
  • Travel, write, and photograph
  • Teach others to be financially free

FINANCIAL

  • Have financial freedom
  • Make money traveling, writing, and photographing
  • Have abundance to give to those in need and to help others become free

MISC

  • Travel for a year
  • Go to Australia
  • Go to Alaska
  • Decorate a home the way I want
  • Develop some self-sufficiency

LOVE

  • Experience lasting love
  • Discover my match
  • Fall in love with someone who falls in love with me
  • Experience love that is “easy”

WRITING/PHOTOGRAPHY

  • Write books
  • Sell my prints on a regular basis
  • Write a cook book and dedicate it to my grandma
  • Inspire others to use their talents

When I’m gone, I want people to say the following about me and truly mean it:

  • Always said how she felt
  • Was honest and upfront
  • Loved no matter what
  • Loved unconditionally
  • Saw the best everyone could be
  • Smiled and laughed
  • Was the best friend
  • Knew God’s power
  • Gave to others
  • Made a difference
  • Found the good in all situtions

What I really want people to remember when they think about me, is that I was happy.
