Writing Ideas & Keywords

Filed under: Income Steams, Instructional, Writing Services — Jan @ 11:04 am

During my break, I had the idea that instead of waiting for writing work, I will write and then sell. This is what I’m working on:

  1. Niche research
  2. Article package
  3. Promotion

Niche research-I picked keywords that I could easily write about with minimum research. I then used the following to narrow it down.

  • Keyword Discovery-I checked a keyword and made a list of related keywords.
  • Google Adwords keyword tool-found related keywords that paid $1 and higher
  • Google-I then searched Google and eliminated any keywords that had over 1,000,000 sites in competition. I highlighted any keywords on my list that had several sponsored ads on page one of the search.

Writing package-with my keyword list I started writing 500-600 word articles on each keyword. I grouped them in packages of 5 related articles.

Promoting-when I have 3-4 packages I will sell them as a package on one thread on a forum. I will then repeat. I will charge a little extra because I did the keyword research. My promotional hook “Don’t wait for your content”

Instead of waiting for someone to hire me and hope I can have time to write in timely manner, I write at my own pace. I will see how this does. I have 1 1/2 packages done so far and should have them available for sale next week.

If this does well, I do my own keyword research, hire someone to do content research and provide me with outlines of info that I will write from. The research is what usually slows me down when I write.

Update

I got lots of writing done the past few days and made more progress with the sorting and organizing. The break was helpful with my personal situation, also. Had time with friends and now back to reality! I got some yard work done (which I find relaxing) while I tanned a little.

I do feel refreshed and rejuvenated and being burnt out is but a memory! :)
