Keeping Busy

Filed under: Miscellaneous, Personal, Writing — Jan @ 4:52 pm

I had the wrong schedule, so I got to work an hour early today :(  . I live close enough I came home. Not enough time to start working on anything, so I thought I’d post here, since it has been awhile.

I have been busy getting caught up on some my article orders. Seems like the more I push myself the more exhausted I get and don’t hear my alarm clock to get up and finish writing. I’m taking a different approach…not treating sleep like an option. I actually feel more energetic to get stuff done!

I have it easy with my daughter out of town to go to a funeral with her dad. It has been a stressful week. Though everyone is fine, it has been a little rough.

  • My neice had a bad accident when her horse hesitated at a jump at a show and ended up falling and rolling with her still on and then landed on her. My sister thought she was dead when she saw her in the arena with foam coming out of her mouth. We all thank God that she’ll be OK. Had a surgery to put a plate in her collar bone, time for ribs and a concusion to heal, and some physical therapy and she’ll be back on a horse in no time.
  • My former mother-in-law who I still care about and have contact with (Bob’s grandma) went in the hospital, she’s still there but they finally found out what is wrong.
  • My (step) dad brought a horse for my daughter to ride and it got in a fight with it’s neighbor. The fence got pulled down and she got hurt bad enough she couldn’t walk. She’s stiff but OK, now.
  • A Myspace was discovered that my older daughter had that she posted too much personal stuff on. It’s scary who might have that info, plus the 50+ photos. It’s down now.
  • Had to get my younger daughter ready on short notice to be able to go out of town for about a week to attend a memorial service.
  • Yesterday, my son Bob Schmuck got bit by a Pitt Bull. (He’s OK, just a puncture wound)
  • Had to some things come up with the ongoing situation that I’ve been dealing with for 1/2 a year now.
  • Still not quite caught up with my writing, but getting closer.

I’m alive and well and am thankful none of the situations were worse. Things will be OK. :)

Money is slow online and my projects are put to the side while I work to catch up with the writing jobs. I do keep jotting down my ideas for when I can get to them again.
Things are going well at Wal-Mart. I am the community contact and the PSP (personal sustainability project) leader. I got to go to a meeting yesterday and represent our store. It was casual and in a park, so it was nice. They only had 25 such meetings in the US.

Well, after being an hour early, I guess I should get to work before I’m late!
