I did it! For this month (so far) I have averaged a dollar a day, well….$1.09 to be exact. The income came from Adsense, Review Me, and Kontera (in that order). Even without the Review Me income, I have doubled my previous daily average and I am $3 away from having my highest earning month with Adsense. Last year I made $2.63 for all of March!
I have stayed motivated as I struggled along working on making money on the internet. Actually making money is a very big motivator. This is a step towards making enough money to decrease hours at a wage earning job and eventually not having to work wage earning at all!
It is a very happy day for me and there is still about 12 more hours for clicks! By May 2008 I want to receive my second Adsense check from Google. It took me 16 months to receive my first one, when I get one in May, it will be 6 months since that first check. I hope to keep whittling away at the length of time between checks until I get one every month.
My road has been slow moving on my journey to making money on line. The resent extra effort for my 48 Day Challenge is already showing results. Last year I broke past earning pennies a day to nickels and dimes as day. Well, this month I moved up to quarters! I’m about 30 cents away from making what I made last month!
You may wonder why I post about my small milestones, it’s because usually it’s the ones that are making big money (or at least saying they are making big money) that post their accomplishments. It can be discouraging for those at my level. Sometimes it can seem like everyone is making money except me! I choose not to be embarrassed, but be an encouragement to others to keep shuffling along until you can run forward with income from the internet. We need to know we are not alone.
Easter Sunday we will be closed for the holiday at Wal-Mart. It will be the last holiday we will close for. Starting this year our store will stay open for all the holidays. I look forward to being home, catching up, and getting some steaks and ribs to BBQ for our Easter dinner. It is such a relief to know I’ll be home an extra day.
It took me June 2006 to October 2007 to earn my first check from AdSense. (
) In 4 months I have hit the 1/2 way point ($50) to getting my next check. I hope with the added time I will have to dedicate to my online ventures that I will receive my next check in May 2008.
I try not to look at the dollar amount, but the time and percentage of increase to keep motivated. Going from 16 months to 7-8 months for a check from Google is a great improvement. I look forward to monthly checks by the end of 2008.
