Advantages of Using the Same Writer
I have written for my son, Bob Schmuck, for years. He is the one that got me started providing writing services and becoming an Internet Entrepreneur.
Recently I started writing for him again, now that I am re-focusing my efforts on Jan’s Writing Services. While doing an article for him, I discovered some advantages of writing for a client that I know well. I don’t mean just as my son, but knowing how he does business.
ADVANTAGES OF USING THE SAME WRITER
A job can get started even if something is left out
I know that Bob usually orders 500 word articles. In his email with the article topics, he forgot to include the number of words for his articles. I got started anyways and wrote 500 word articles while I waited for confirmation on word count per article. I of course was correct…he wanted 500 words per article.
Familiarity with other projects
While researching and writing one of the articles, I saw that it was related to one of his other sites. I highlighted the information and suggested a link to one of his other sites that be of interest to the readers of the article that I just wrote.
Trust
There is a certain trust between Bob and I because we are related an know each others level of honesty and integrity. Beyond that, when you work with the same writer, you don’t have to worry if you will receive the articles ordered or be concerned about quality.
Flexibility
Life happens! When you have an established relationship with a writer, the writer will be more forgiving when a rare delay occurs.
Networking
A writer who knows you and your business needs may be able to help you connect with others providing new mutually beneficial relationships.
When there is an established relationship with a writer, care should be taken not to abuse it or take advantage of it.
No matter who I write for or how long I write for others….the first Internet entrepreneur I wrote for will always hold a special place in my heart. Of course Bob Schmuck has several places in my heart because he is my son!
