An Internet Entrepreneur Moves On

Posted by Jan on February 3, 2009 in Motivation/Inspiration, Personal |

Well, I had targeted ads for a few hours, but now the “P” ads are back! After a month or so of this, I contacted AdSense support. The diagnostic is not showing the site as blocked (at least so far). We will see what happens.

The trial is over. It doesn’t look like it will go in my favor, but I can walk away knowing the following:

  • I put up a good fight
  • I had the best interests of the other party always at the center of my heart
  • I know I acted out of love
  • I took the opportunity to learn and use new skills
  • My lawyer put up a good fight (she came in towards the end and did her best with where things were when she took over)

When an internet project isn’t going the way you thought, you don’t have to give up on it, but there may be a time when it is wise to move on to another project. As an internet entrepreneur, you can’t force internet surfers to visit, click, advertise, or sign up for an offer. After the ruling on Friday, I will have to do the same in my personal life, it will be time to move on because there is no way to force someone to work out a problem.

If you can afford to keep a project going or can restructure it to make it affordable, do it. Don’t let your work be wasted. Let the site or blog sit and move on to another project that will benefit from your efforts, time, and lessons learned. Don’t be surprised if one day if you finally get to reap what you have sown. Some crops are slower to produce than others. Radishes can produce with in weeks. Asparagus takes years for a good stalk.

As an internet entrepreneur I look for opportunities from my life to provide inspiration for projects that will help me to make money on line as an Internet entrepreneur. Helping others and sharing what I have learned is the most rewarding way for me to do that. There is a new project on the horizon that is related to my situation the past 10 months. With a different lawyer, my situation would have had a different outcome. I can’t turn back time, but I can help others so my pain and the pain of my family won’t be wasted, instead there will be good to come of all this.

As I prepare to move forward I have peace knowing I was honest, I did my best, and I fought for what is right. Doing what is right, doesn’t always mean getting the results you deserve, it does mean you will have peace when you lay your head down on your pillow at night and you will be blessed in other areas.

Updates on my blessings will be in future posts!
