I will be contributing to the Global Art Project. I will be contributing a couple pieces of art. One will be internet entrepreneur related. Jan F. Pavis Photography will be sponsoring two art projects from the Wal-Mart store I work. Jan’s Group Home Support will be sponsoring 2-3 projects from the Easter Seals Blake Foundation.

I encourage others to contribute. I would like to see posts with pictures of the projects on line on the display dates. Here are the display/share suggestions from the Global Art Project:

April 1-22, 2008: Display/share your work locally in your own community. This could be on the walls at work or school, in a hospital, a public library, gallery, bank, local café or restaurant–wherever you feel comfortable sharing your vision. You may want to join together with a group of participants to find a place where you can display your work together.

April 23-30, 2008: Exchange your art with the person or group with whom you’ve been matched. The art you receive will be yours to keep, and likewise, the art you send off will be kept as a gift of global friendship. It would be nice to include a photo of yourself and a personal note.

Finally as a completion of the Global Art Project for Peace exchange, you may choose to display the art which you’ve received so that people in your community have an opportunity to experience the diverse visions of global unity from around the world.

I will find out about how long it takes to receive the artwork and pick a date to display/share the received art project online.

The registration form needs to be filled out by February 29, 2008.

Here is a video about the Global Art Project. I chose this one because it the founder describes how the artist, Katherine Josten, started with nothing but a vision (that was inspired from a non-convention experience) in 1994 and how it developed into a project that was nominated for the Peace Prize.
