Being ethical is one way each of us, as Internet entrepreneurs, can prevent further attempts at controlling and censoring Internet content. The indefinite postponement of the issue also shows that the people of the United States can make a difference when they join together for a cause.

To me, this is a victory for freedom on the Internet. I am not for stealing or piracy or counterfeit products, but I am for for Internet entrepreneurs who will not have the means that big companies have to do the necessary censorship of any company ACCUSED of infringing on copyrights. To monitor and censor websites to be in compliance with the PIPA and SOPA will come at a cost to website owners and Internet entrepreneurs that will eventually filter down to consumers

Read more about Congress shelving PIPA and SOPA here.

Operative words….”I” and “struggling:”. Finally I took some time to PRAY and LISTEN and to be STILL. I realize that I haven’t really prayed about what I do online and how that time is spent. I realize I wasn’t giving time to God first when it came to my online projects. This may work for others, but it hasn’t worked for me, because my path is one that includes living according to my beliefs.

I started making time for God and projects that have to do with my faith and beliefs and the Bible. I’m still flailing around some, but as I get focused and prioritize my time, I am finding that things are falling into place. It is happening not by my power but by God’s power!

Even though it is everywhere it remains so elusive. Time is easily wasted and can quickly vanish. It is a replenishable resource…every day there is a fresh supply!

My Adsense income has increased because I made a simple change, I started putting a little more time into my Internet projects. Article directory submissions, adding some back links, and regularly adding some fresh content hasn’t made enough money for me to retire or anything, but it has increased my income enough for me to be encouraged. It has help me remember that time is a precious asset that should be invested wisely.

When considering your fresh supply of time each day, maintain balance so your God and your family aren’t neglected as you chase after money. There is enough time for God, family, friends, and work when you have well thought out priorities and when time is managed efficiently.

It is easy to look down one path on the journey as an Internet Entrepreneur and think it is the right one. It is easy to follow the “rules”. What is not easy is to look down the path and see that you might be wrong and things need to change.

This morning I woke up, yet again on the couch. Normal people sleep in their nice comfy beds, I should sleep in my bed even though my couch is SO comfortable. Yet, today wasn’t the first time that I woke up and there just “happens” to be something useful and motivating to me on the television. Now it wasn’t some awesome miracle product available on an info-commercial…it had to do with my writing or photography. Today it was Art Wolfe’s show, Travels to the Edge. Besides just some interesting information about Mongolia, he talks about why he chooses shots and what makes a good picture. It motivated me to do more with my photography.

Today as I got up off the couch to let my dog out, it occurred to me that sometimes we need to be outside what is “normal” to be on the right path and receive all that is out there for us.

Look around at what you are doing and see if you stripped away the “rules” and what is “normal”, would you be on the path that you are on, or are you missing out on something because you are not on the path that is going to lead you to everything you are to receive. This goes for life, Internet projects, work, etc.

I do rely on spell check quite a bit when I am writing content and articles for my own and others Internet projects, but there are some things that it won’t catch and one of them is homonyms, which are words that sound the same but have different spellings and different meanings. It is important to choose the correct word to communicate what you are saying. Here is some help for a few of them:

TO, TOO, or TWO?

To-directional. ex: Let’s go TO the store

Two-the number. ex:we went to TWO stores, Walmart and Target

Too-means also. ex: Wait, I want to go to the store, TOO.

THERE, THEIR, or THEY’RE?

There-location. ex: I am going over THERE to hike.

They’re-they + are. ex: THEY’RE going to hike that canyon.

Their-they own something. ex: It is THEIR property that we will hike on.

KNOW or NO?

Know-to have knowledge. ex: I KNOW how to do it right.

No-opposite of yes. ex: NO, that is not the right way to do it.

WRITE or RIGHT?

Write-to put words on paper. ex: I love to WRITE articles

Right-the opposite of wrong. ex: I made the RIGHT choice to start my own business.

Even if you don’t write for a living, it will help with communicating online and texting.

I felt the need to complete it and every time I wanted to post on my blog, I felt the obligation to finish my challenge even though I’m sure no one else really cared! I knew I needed to finish it because I started it. so I did it for myself. Just finishing the challenge was the biggest challenge for me.

It is a BIG relief to have it done. It is also motivating me to finish other unfinished business on my many Internet projects. I feel like this opened up the doors to get my other Internet projects going again.

The last day of the challenge! It is such a relief to finally have it finished. I was determined to stick with it. Even though the posts are backdated so they aren’t spread out too much and it looks like they were done in a timely manner, the fact is today is actually October 19, 2011! So I guess the final challenge would be to stick with being an Internet entrepreneur even when it is tough.

DAY 51-STICK WITH BEING AN INTERNET ENTREPRENEUR

It is going to be rough to stick with being an Internet entrepreneur because it takes time to reap what you sow on the Internet. It can be worth it and rewarding in the long run. It takes a balance of dedication and knowing when to let go, but with wisdom and research you can get skilled at knowing when to hang on and when to accept a project just isn’t going to produce.

Internet income doesn’t happen overnight, but it will build over time and can eventually become consistent and substantial. It will take knowledge, research, time, dedication, creativity, and above all….balance.

I can barely believe I am writing the second to the last post for the 51-day challenge that took WAY too long! As I thought about the topic, I thought about important a person’s attitude is in all areas of his or her life.

DAY 50-HAVE A POSITIVE ATTITUDE

If you are spending your time complaining and blaming others for where you are as an entrepreneur it may be time to decide that being an entrepreneur isn’t right for you. If you are sure it is what you should be doing, then you should SHOW it with a good attitude and being productive.

Having a good attitude starts with positive words and ends with positive actions. If it doesn’t come naturally, you will need to work on it and develop the skills needed to be positive. Things don’t always work out and projects don’t always produce what is expected, but a bad attitude doesn’t change those facts.

You don’t need to be skipping and singing at all times, there are things in life that suck and that is also a fact. You should be able to have a positive attitude more often than you don’t. You should be able to find good and learn from all situations, even the ones with bad outcomes.

Having a positive attitude will make your situation better. A negative attitude can hold you back.

Knowing when to say when is an important skill. There are some projects that you know you must stick with even when you don’t see results, but there are others that will suck the life out of you if you don’t let go.

DAY 49-KNOW WHEN TO LET GO OF INTERNET PROJECTS

It is rough to let go of an Internet project that you felt was the best idea ever. Just like a parent who must recognize when to let go of their child, so must the entrepreneur know to let a project go and move on. A project that consumes a lot of time or funds without giving much back should be let go. This will allow more productive and promising projects to get the attention and time that they need to become income producing projects.

Follow your gut, but if your gut tells you to hang on to a large number of unproductive projects it may be time to part ways with your gut and make your choice based on logic. It can be hard at first, so just let go of a few projects at a time. Before starting new projects, take you time to determine if you really are able to devote time and energy to it ore if your plate is already filled up.

Knowing when to say when will also save money in addition to time.
